Non-marked means that the rat has no white spots or patches anywhere.
Both all self coloured rats and all agouti varieties belong to this group, along with all shaded and pearl varieties.
Many not marked rats have at least a claw that is white. Or, if not a white claw, then some white hairs in the chest. To breed out white markings in the non-marked rats is one of the breeder's tasks. Black rats tend to get browish patches, miscoloured fur, which is also something undesirable in non-marked rats. The agouti colours also tend to have small white markings, just as the selfs has.
