Snow-White was my second Wistar rat. I never tamed him as I should have, and that was a big mistake. I actually put him to sleep when he was about six months old, since he was acting strange, I was afraid he was turning aggressive, and he wasn't really tame. From what I know today that was a big waste, a Wistar don't turn aggressive unless you really mistreat the rat. I could have re-tamed him and he would have become a great pet rat. I truly regret this still today.
Snow-White was born on the 15th of June 1989. I got him because I had understood that a Wistar is a silver fawn with white colour on top, so that if you mate a Wistar to a silver fawn you will get 100 % silver fawn, unless the silver fawn is carrying albino. It took a while until I had a good female to mate him with, but I did get one, that was much better than I ever expected, Annie. Annie was about a year old when I bought her, and she only produced five babies in her litter with Snow-White. She had never been mated before, which I still today consider to be a terrible waste. Annie was the most beautiful rat I've ever seen in my whole life, and still she was a nice rat, even though she had moved and changed owner several times in her short life.
