Sandra was one of Råttis & Thumpi's babies. She was an agouti european berkshire and a really crazy loving rat. She liked to gallop around my apartment, I've never ever had another rat doing that, and she loved climbing all the way on my clothes from the floor to my shoulder, just to give me a kiss. Sandra was extremely tame, just like her mother and father.
Sandra was born on the 3rd of August 1988, and she was extremely tame already as a small baby in her mother's nest. I've never had a rat that was so tame so early before, and that is the main reason I kept her. She was not that pretty, since she had a long neck, and that is kind of odd in a rat.
I mated Sandra twice. The first time I mated her with Fnutten, my best male at the time. From this litter I only remember Sabina, born on the 14th of June 1989. Sabina was an agouti european berkshire. I sold all the babies in this litter.
This is a photo of Sabina as a little baby. I believe I sold all the babies just because there was no-one that was silver fawn in the litter.
The second time around I mated Sandra with Berlioz, a silver fawn rex son of Fnutten's, and got a litter I only remember one rat from, this one I kept. This was Darius, an agouti european berkshire. Darius was a bit dominant, but not aggressive. He was one of my favourite rats, but I never mated him, I just didn't want to mate a dominant rat. Here are two rat stories that he is playing a role in:
