Kallewas a silver fawn hooded rat a friend of mine bought in a pet shop for me. He was born on the 31th of October 2000. I do believe he was my first pet shop rat. My second and last (so far) was Sessan. Kalle turned aggressive and attacked Arinella's Mjukost and my favourite rat Arinella's Teddy so I had to put him to sleep.
I am often told by rat breeders that pet shop rats have much worse temper than breeder rats, but from my very little experience I got one male biter (Kalle) and that is very common among male breeder rats too, and I got one good pet female rat with much better temper than most female breeder rats. Which would suggest that pet shop rats might not be as bad people say they are. Well, I don't know.
