Runatun Izze was born on the 12th of December 1997, and he was a silver fawn double rex male. When he was a baby he had almost no fur at all, but as an adult he had short soft fur all over that fell out before it grow to it's full length. All our (Aristoteles Rattery & Runatun Rattery) normal rex babies always had fur, I know most other breeders had rex babies that were naked as babbies, but ours were not.
Izze was a great pet, but not as big as the other rats - just over 600 grams. Izze's mother was Runatun Edda, she had this litter before I got her, and his father was Runatun Mercurius.
Mercurius was the black based version of silver fawn, with blue undercolour and yellow tummy. Izze had the same colour, since he did have the same yellow tummy.
I actually did mate Izze once, as a joint venture with Runatun Rattery. Jalle had a self black female called Runatun Sotis, one of his special favourite rats. Sotis & Izze had a litter on the 28th of July 1998, consisting of only five babies, all silver fawn rex. I got one of the babies back at the age of 1 year, his name was Aristoteles/Runatun Vale. But we called him "Valle". I was happy that he was so easy to introduce into my male rat cage at that age.
Izze died on the 1th of October 1999, so he never even lived to be 2 years old, he was just 1 year and 9 months when he died. I hate it when they die young. He was put to sleep since he was too tired to hold his up for more than a few minutes.
