This was my first litter for two years, and they were born on the 3rd of may 1998. The litter consisted of 8 babies. Their mother was Runatun Liv and their father was Runatun Imax

The photo to the left shows this litter at the age of 3 or 4 days. The photo to the right shows one of the babies, Iamza.

The babies were of several different colours: one chocolate based silver fawn rex male, Aristoteles Iaffa, one german blue based silver, Aristoteles Iannini, one chocolate based champagne irish, Aristoteles Iack, one pale lilac, Aristoteles Iamza, and one black based silver fawn Aristoteles Iarima, one black based silver fawn irish Aristoteles Ianti and two black based silver fawn european berkshires Aristotels Iaste & Aristoteles Iappi.

Remember that a black based silver fawn often has a yellow belly, so you can see markings on the belly.

The photo to the left shows the same babies a few days older. They just started to grow fur.

Two of the babies, Aristoteles Iaffa and Aristoteles Iannini were exported to Finland. Since I sent the best and only chocolate based silver fawn in this litter to Finland I didn't keep any of the babies for myself. I sold all of them as pets, to different homes around Sweden.

.

Here, in the photo to the left, they all are again, a bit older. They wouldn't keep still so the fastest moving ones look a bit unsharp...
The second baby from the bottom of the picture is, of course, Aristoteles Iannini, and the third baby from the bottom is Aristoteles Iaffa. Iannini was a lovely, then new, colour in rats. Iaffa was my favourite colour ever - the true silver fawn - a chocolate based silver fawn. The black based silver fawns do not get the white belly colour and they never look quite as orange.

In the photo to the right are two of the babies, Iamza & Iannini, just before they were sold.

Here in the photo to the right is Iannini together with my silver fawn rex Runatun Iamak (usually called "Ia").
