Firestone. I bought her as baby, about two or three months old, from a pet breeder. Firestone herself was a nice rat, and I had been looking for silver fawns for a while so I was very happy when I found her, even if she didn't have good colour or type. She was born on the 15th of April 1989, and she died on the 7th of November 1990.
Since I had such a good rat male, Fnutten, and had bought Firestone for him, I mated them. Firestone only had four babies in this litter, all silver fawns, and I kept a silver fawn rex male, Berlioz.
Well I do remember how badly Firestone's father acted when I went to buy her. Later I asked around and I traced pedigrees, and I found out that her father came from a long line of badly tempered rats. At least she gave me the first clue about how aggression works, that it runs in families.
