QUESTION: What kind of litter is good to use in the cage?
ANSWER: Never use cedar or pine as they are toxic, also to humans. I live in Sweden and here we have our own trees that is not toxic as cedar and pine so we can use any litter produced from our local trees. The best tree is aspen. Fir is also good. You can use some kinds of cat litter, and those kinds are the ones based on paper. You can use ordinary newspaper that is only printed in black.
Actually I have heard of some pet shops in Sweden selling imported cedar chips, never buy that for any animals - it is toxic to yourself and your animals!
