Egeria densa - anachris

This is the first aquatic plant I ever had! It is very easy to grow and don't have as high demands as many other fast growing plants. I have so much of this plant by now, that I don't have room for it all in my aquaria, so I keep some in a 4 L glass jar, in waiting for my next aquarium...

This plant grows faster than Cabomba, and it happily grows into very long plants, up to 2 or 3 meters, I believe. Some of mine was almost 1 meter when I decided I had take some out since there was no room left to feed the fish... It forks into more than one here and there, so even if it only grows in the ends it grows fast :-)

Egeria najas - Slender-leaved Elodea

I got this plant as a Hydrilla species, but it turned out to be Egeria najas. The leaves of Egeria najas are clearly serrated.
