I've actually had Cabomba before but it needs a lot of light and it has a very nice green colour. The plants in the photos are from two of my other aquaria, not the main 56 L low tech tank. There are several different species of cabomba, and I don't even know which I have :-)
Cabomba grows in long stalks that seldom forks into more than one. It needs rather much light and nutrients.
It did grow very well and I had this species in almost all my aquaria, but then all of them died within two weeks this summer. I believed that they died from too high temperature. But then I was told that they probably died because I had neglected to to thow out enough of my floating plants, so it got too little light.
