The Tan Group is based on the tan gene a^t. A Tan mouse can be either a^ta^t or a^ta. When you talk about tan mice you mean mice with brown or yellow bellies.

Black Tan - a^ta^t

Blue Tan - a^ta^tdd.
Champagne Tan - a^ta^tbbpp
Chocolate Tan - a^ta^tbb. Primus.
Dove Tan - a^ta^tpp
Silver (Pink Eyed) Tan - a^ta^tddpp
Lilac Tan - a^ta^tbbdd
Lavender Tan - a^ta^tbbddpp

The Agouti Tan Group is buildt on the gene A - uniform agouti together with the gene a^t.

Agouti Tan - Aa^t.

Opal Tan - Aa^tdd.
Cinnamon Tan - Aa^tbb.
Lynx Tan - Aa^tbbdd.
Argente Tan - Aa^tpp.
Champagne Argente Tan - Aa^tbbpp.
Blue Argente Tan (also called Silver Argente Tan)- Aa^tddpp.
Lavender Argente Tan - Aa^tbbddpp.

Other Tan varieties (These are not in standards so far, and will probably never be.)

Siamese Tan - a^ta^tc^hc^h. Neither Siamese nor Himalaya is able to show red pigment, so a tan Himalaya or Siamese will have a white belly, and look like fox!
Himalaya Tan - a^ta^tc^hc.
