Cataract means that the eye looks milky grey, like in the photo. The more mily grey the eye looks the lees the guines pig can see.
This is an old guinea pig with cataract
(called "starr" in Swedish). Guinea pigs usually do well
even if completely blind. Do not rearrange in the cage or
the floor space for blind or almost blind guinea pigs! A blind cavy can usually live a happy life with its cagemates, but might have some problems if introduced to new cavies that are a bit bossy. Try to get a more gentle tempered cavy if you need a new friend for a blind or almost blind cavy.
