An Alpaca is a Peruvian with wavy fur. The fur of the cavy in the photo has been cut, it is supposed to be much longer.
All Longhaired Breeds are recognized in any colour and any marking, the colour and/or marking DO NOT have to be in the standards. The Alpaca Breed is produced by combining the rex gene with the Peruan Breed.
This breed is called Boucle in some countries.
