Trassel Trassel is a Golden/Black & White pet cavy that was in need of a permanent new home at the age of 5 years. A pet cavy has no standard breed, it's just what we also may call a pet shop cavy. And she was actually bought in a pet shop, I have talked to her former owner over the phone. Trassel was bought as company for an older cavy, and that cavy died when Trassel was 3 years old. Since then she has lived alone, until she was put into a transport cage along with Milky Way's Saga at Saga's breeder's home in order to move here.

Trassel was left on the breeder's doorstep by her former owner. Thre breeder lives in the countryside and her neighbour's dogs might easily have killed Trassel before the breeder got home and brought her inside.

On the 24th of June Trassel arrived at my home, along with Milky Way's Saga.

Trassel is extremely tame, eats a lot and sleeps a lot. She just found the pellets bowl... I have a small bowl of Oxbow's timothy pellets, those are very expensive here in Sweden. But Trassel is used to eat pellets and those Oxbow's timothy pellets are the only brand of pellets are ones I would ever give to any cavy.

Trassel weighed 1075 grams when she arrived at my home.

Trassel developed heart failure and died on the 24th of August 2005.
