Pyret was a Black & Golden cavy, she was extremely tame and trusting. I used to take her with me on pic-pics outdoors in the summer, she never even tried to escape. I bought her just so Tjabo would have a friend.
I don't know if I have any photos of her, I'll have to check.
When I had just bought her she was a baby and she always escaped and hid in Tjabo's cage. So I had to let her stay with him, and check if she was in heat every day. When she was in heat I took them apart for about 24 hours. She was in heat every 21 or 22 days, so they lived together most of the time.
When Pyret was big enough I let then have a litter, and then another. These litters was planned. I did sell all the babies.
After a while I got a third cavy from a friend. That cavy was called Na. At the beginning when I had just got Na she and Pyret hated eachother. I didn't know cavies could fight like that! It took me months to get them to become friends.
Pyret did not live long, I can't remember for sure, I think she did not live to see her 4th birthday.
