Patty

Piri-Piri's Pat-a-Cake, called Patty, was a Golden Agouti female. I bought her as a friend to Drutten. They got along fine. They even had one litter of babies, all Golden Agouties. The photo to the right was taken in 1989, and the photo to the left was taken in May 1990. In the photo to the left I think she looks like she was satin, but I learned that all really good Golden Agoutis look like satins.

Patty was born on the 7th of April 1989, and I bought her on the 2nd of September 1989. She was a bit tense and hyper, but when I had cought her she settled down in my lap and was a good pet. Her fur was extremely soft, like the fur of a satin cavy. The photos on this page was taken in October 1989, when she was still rather young.

Patty was extremely beautiful, especially her colour. The only photos I have of her are taken with my old camera, so they are not that good, but the way she is looking around, checking for danger, is just the way she always did... The photo to the left was taken in May 1990.

She came from a line of beautiful Golden Agouties, so that's how she got such a strong and impressive colour. She was a bit shy, but not hard to tame. Patty did not have a strong personality, and I can't actually remember her doing much. But she was my first cavy that was actually bred for showing. She did not do that well, though. But I liked her and Drutten liked her, so we did not care if she did not win at shows. The photo of Patty to the right was taken in 1989.

To the left is another photo of Patty from 1990, I was crazy about her colour so I took lots of photos of her, I just wasn't that much of a photographer... To the left is a photo of Patty and her litter of babies, the father was of course Drutten.
