Arion's Lotus, was a Grey Crested and I got him on the 29th of September 1996.
Lotus was born on the 25th of June 1994.
I let me be talked into getting a new male, my third so far. This one was supposed to be unable to mate, or even try. Well, that he proved to be wrong, it took him a long while but suddenly one day he started chasing round the females, and I put him a separate cage.
Then I had had him long enough to get to know him and I did not want to lose him. The obvious way was to have him castrated. I also had a rat, Ippe, that needed to be castrated at the same time, so they both went to the vet. That went very well, none of them had any problems whatsoever.
A couple of stiches, a few weeks of isolation, and then back in with the girls.

Lotus died on the 9th of October 1998.
