Today I have 5 lovely guinea pigs... now none of them is a Lunkarya. I used to have several Lunkaryas, though, since I actually was breeding them :-) When I stopped breeding Lunkaryas I started bringing home "used cavies", meaning cavies that are in need of a new home.

My piggies used to be freeroamers, meaning that they were not locked up in cages. They had the whole apartment floor to walk around on when they wanted to, and they lived together in a cavyherd. But then came Hjördis...

Hjördis decided that under the sofa was the place to use as a toilet, no matter what I did. I tried fencing off, but she only sat as close as she copuld and used that as a toilet... In the end I had to put them in some kind of enclosure, so now they live in a 3 squaremeters big enclose...

The pigs in the photo are Ninni, Nemo, Tanja, Stjärna, and Hjördis.

The herd today:

High Hat's Ninni. Ninni is a Black Rex female.
High Hat's Tan-ja. Tan-ja is a Grey Tan female.
Hjördis. Hjördis is a new 3 year old Tortoiseshell & White Peruvian female.
C'Lines Dorotea. Dorotea is a Black Dutch female.
Myway Crown Jewel - "Fia". Fia is a Himalayan female.

The photo to the right shows my old cavies Nemo, Stjärna and their former cagemate Saga... :-)
