Aristoteles Eira

This photo shows Aristoteles Eira and her piggy-loving dog. Eira is a White & Black Lunkarya. Eira and her brother Erro was born on the 26th of December 2000. Erro is a Silver Agouti & White Lunkarya. I never took any photos of him, sorry... But he is supposed to become a stud male, so I guess I will be able to get photos of him later on.

Eira & Erro's mother is Aristoteles C, and their father is Ruckelbo's Gizmo, a Black & White Lunkarya.

A Lunkarya is a longhaired guinea pig whith rough and wavy hair.

Eira grew up and went to see a Lunkarya male called Petter Esais, a black curly. Here she is with their only baby, Aristoteles Irx, a black & white Lunkarya. Irx was born 16th of October 2001. Irx moved and are no longer part of the herd.

This year Eira has had an extended visit by Cattla's Careless Whisper, a golden/white lunkarya male and now she has 2 pretty babies, born 30th April 2002. They are Aristoteles Kai, a black/golden/white peruvian and Aristoteles Kius, buff/buff agouti/white lunkarya, both males. These have moved and are not longer a poart of the herd.

Eira was pregnant again with Careless Whisper when he moved home again. She had her third litter on the 8th of July 2002, two pretty little lunkarya females that I have not came up any names for yet. Eira will not have any more babies. My biggest problem is to decide if I want to keep any of Eira's new babies. They are lovely, golden and white (I love golden cavies) and one has also a black ear...)
If I count my adult cavies I have 8, if I keep one baby I have 9, and that may a little too many. If I keep none I will not have any more litters, since all my females are too old and retired from breeding.

Eira is retired from breeding now. She had 3 litters with 6 babies (Irx, and then Kius & Kai, and last 2 babies that later was named Mia & Moa). I think Kius, the lunkarya male baby have, moved to a breeder, and Kai the peruvian male baby was for sale as a pet. I also think the LUnkarya breeder I gave Irx to still has Irx as a potential breeder.
Eira is a part of my cavy herd. I have decided not to keep any of her 2 daughters, Mia & Moa.

Here, on the photo to the left, is Eira, almost 3 years old. She is a pretty little darling.
