Hi! I'm a Finnish guy who is living now in Sweden. I was born in Jakobstad in Nowember 1969. I moved to Stockholm for a few years ago. The reason was unemployment in Finland. The year was 1995, Finland won the World Championship of hockey that year. But the Swedish hockey team won in 1998. For me as a finn, it's not so nice, everybody here in Sweden reminds about it... 1995 was for me a new beginning.

You may ask, why? Well Jakobstad in Finland were I was born in the year 1969 has about 20000 citizens. Stockholm is considered as a "BIG" town. Here I was able to find more fun stuff...

In Sköndal, on the lake Drevikenin I was trying out my skills on skates... but I preferr inlines on dry land. There was water on this ice, which gave my photos something "extra".

I bought my first computer in october 1997, two weeks after that I started my homepage. It was powered by a 150 Mhz pentium processor, today I'm using an faster computer. It's an laptop from Gateway with an Pentium II processor 366Mhz. This homepage has been under developement and finaly in december 1998 I've got my own domain. www.jakobstad.nu is an unofficiall homepage about Jakobstad. Since then I have been learning more about the internet and what it can offer. This homepage is built only with the help of Wordpad, no HTML-editors are used.

January 20^th 2002 happened a pleasant thing for jakobstad.nu. The newspaper Jakobstads Tidning had an story about webpages that tell the strory of Jakobstad. My page was ranked as a intressant page about jakobstad. One outcome of this was that the number of visitors increased from 20-40 a day to 60-80 visitors.

I share an appartment with a friend. My car, VW Passat takes me where I want to go.

My interests are for example skiing and travelling. This homepage is always under construction and I learn something new everyday about HTML. One day I hope to master Java and make this site even better.
