This car had original option chrome rails on the roof and metalic paint.

The 700 series (successor to the 200 series, which remained in production for several years) was launched with the 760 in 1982.
The 740 being launched in 1984.
In the 90s the car was face lifted and became the 900-series (although basically the same car) and finally renamed S or V90 to fit with Volvos new naming standard. The last S and V90s were shipped in 1998.
