Here I describe the restoration of an English receiver from the Second World War, the Standard Telephone and Cables (STC) R1082, which was used in almost all English bomber and reconnaissance aircraft in the later half of the 1930s and the beginning of the war, until it was replaced by the R1155. The receiver is now scarce and it is popular with collectors and museums. I describe the initial condition, the restoration and the result in text and photos.
